Gently sloping down toward a small river that curves around the premises, Villa Nalika is designed and built by Bali’s renowned architect, Ross Franklyn, to capture the tranquillity and magnificence of the riverside rainforest and surrounding natural beauty. Nalika translates as “lotus” in Sanskrit, the ancient language of Hinduism. The villa is a hideaway that will delight romantic couples, families and groups of friends who like a traditional Balinese village and quiet rural setting, but also like the convenience of having lively Canggu and Seminyak within easy reach. You can have your all meals cooked by our chef and stay in, or you can venture out to Old Mans’ Beach for sunset cocktails. You can have them all at Villa Nalika.
From the entrance proceeding down with staircase there is a fully-equipped kitchen with gas cooktop, electric oven, microwave, full size refrigerator, and complementary drinking water with dispenser. The adjacent spacious living/dining area has a high-celling, wood carpet, and magnificent view of the rainforest and rice terraces beyond, leading to an outdoor deck where you can just sit back and relax. The interior is furnished with high quality, eco-friendly wood and soft textiles in the classic Balinese style, but with a modern twist. The master bedroom, which is located on the same upper floor, has a traditional wooden roof with high-celling, wood floor, king size bed with built-in wardrobe and dressing table, and a balcony overlooking riverine jungle. It has a gorgeous semi-outdoor ensuite bathroom with view of the jungle and vegetable gardens on the other side.
The second bedroom mirrors the design of the master bedroom but is located on the ground/lower floor. It also features a balcony leading to an outdoor garden and the swimming pool area. This room can be configured either as 2 single beds or 1 king size bed. The third bedroom (“media room” or “kids room” you might call it) is located on the opposite side of the living room, and is equipped with a large flat screen TV with DVD player, soundbar with sub-woofer, and cable TV channels. The L-shaped sofa turns into 2 single beds or 1 queen size bed. It has own ensuite bathroom and built-in wardrobe.
The villa has a 14m private infinity pool directly facing the rainforest and a large garden area perfect for your private yoga lessons or for your children to play in. There is a Balinese bale by the river where you can enjoy your massage while listening to the sounds of water and calm wind blowing onto tropical trees.
